Do you need to do a garage door opener installation? Are you maybe a bit hesitant?
No worries. We all have that feeling about certain projects. This video is going to walk you step by step through how to install a Chamberlain garage door opener.
If you look online, Chamberlain garage door openers get AWESOME reviews. That’s one reason I bought one. The other reason is the quietness of the opener. This especially helps if you’re leaving early in the morning and don’t want to wake someone.
The first step in the installation of any new garage door opener is to remove the old one. You’ll need a ladder, socket wrench and drive, camera or smartphone and some gloves. It takes all of 5 minutes.
You might luck out and not have to even install any new brackets for the new Chamberlin. The directions are really simple to follow but I wanted to document my own installation so that you could see how easy it can be.
Just do one solid for yourself: make sure the support brackets are attached to joists and headers. This will ensure the new opener won’t fall from the ceiling.
A big mistake is to just install the opener on drywall, hopefully the thought never crosses your mind to do this.
